Nissan

Nissan has been the leader in small gas efficient cars since the 1930´s. Nissan was the pioneer when it came to small cars and trucks with gas efficient motors. Nissan started out in Yokohama, Japan and built cars for consumers and the military. Slowly they started to move Datsuns to Australia and the UK. In the late 60´s Nissan began its export of Datsuns to the US. At that time the US did not have any cars that were gas efficient or compact. Nissan started to make a real impact on the US auto makers because they could not compete with the prices the cars were being sold at due to Labor prices in Japan. This soon changed when the US told Nissan they had to open up a plant in the US and build Nissan cars here if they wanted to sell them here.

This is when the Z was born. It has been Nissans bread and butter for over 50 years. Nissan since then has produced several different Cars, Trucks and SUV´s worldwide. The Nissan Altima was another big hit winning the car of the year award in 2002. Nissan still continues to re-invent them year after year, as a proud licensee, we follow their lead.
